OUR MISSION

Our Mission

In January 2000, Teachers To The Nations began serving the people of Liberia, West Africa. We opened our Empowerment Center in 2008 and have trained over 5000 students and teachers.

Our mission is to empower our students and community members, encourage servant leadership, and promote craftsmanship and apprenticeship for the financially impoverished communities in Liberia.  As a result, we cultivate productive citizens with the training to use cognitive and analytical skills.

Each year, we bring trained mission teams to West Africa, with focus on helping to meet the critical needs of the surrounding communities of Monrovia. We conduct educational seminars, business skill training, teachers’ development workshops, youth health programs, Christian counseling seminars, medical missions, Vacation Bible schools, and leadership conferences.  Our aim is to empower and educate the people of Liberia. To accomplish our goal, we have partnered with over 15 schools in Monrovia, numerous churches, a number of small businesses and the Medical Diagnostic Clinic.

In 2010, we purchased 3 acres of land in Marshall County, where we are in the process of building a Vocational Empowerment Center.

TEACH LIBERIA

Teach Liberia - Vocational School will set a standard of excellence for vocational training.  Our students will excel in their areas of study: computer science, budgeting, business administration, customer service, home economics, teacher’s development, hospitality, tourism, and carpentry.

The following summarizes the education programs, in keeping with Four Pillars, which Teach Liberia and Teachers To The Nations will implement:

Teach Empowerment! focuses on community development and equips Empowerment Campus students for self-empowerment and for implementing programming and projects that help to empower members of the community surrounding the Campus.

Teach Servant Leadership!  is a program that lays the groundwork for successful planning and implementation of service projects and other initiatives that serve the community surrounding the Campus.

Teach Craftsmanship! is the vocational component of the Campus’s programming. A key emphasis in this area will be true craftsmanship: excelling at the work of your hands.

Teach Apprenticeship! focuses the students on utilizing what they learn in Teach Craftsmanship! to serve in apprenticeship positions in their areas of study in order to master their crafts.
